At Hacienda Venecia's main house, guests are treated to the warm hospitality and delicious home cooking of a group of local ladies who reside on the lower floor of the hacienda. These talented women take care of all the cooking, cleaning, and attending to guests, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming stay. We absolutely loved them and they felt like our Colombian moms away from home!

The main house offers a taste of traditional Colombian cuisine with home-cooked meals served at specific times throughout the day. Breakfast is complimentary and served from 6 AM to 8 AM, providing a hearty start to the day with a spread of local favorites such as eggs, fruits, bread, and of course, fresh coffee. For lunch and dinner, guests can indulge in delicious Colombian dishes for a small fee, prepared with love and care by the talented kitchen staff. While we don't have photos from the dinner meal, everything we had was delicious. Guests can chose to eat with other guests at the main table or opt for more privacy on the back deck that overlooks the garden. Guests are kindly requested to inform the staff of their meal preferences and attendance the day before, as all meals are made to order. Meal times are strictly observed.

In addition to the homemade meals, guests enjoy refreshments from the charming Honesty Bar, stocked with water, wine, beer, and soft drinks. Whether relaxing on the balcony or gathering with fellow travelers, the Honesty Bar provides a convenient and cozy spot to unwind and enjoy a refreshing drink at any time of day or night. We made a real dent in their wine inventory! Coffee is of course, free and unlimited here.

We did this, and it was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Who knew that there was so much that went into coffee — and how to taste a quality roast!
